<p>Clothing is generally a good insulator because it has the ability to trap air, and if the air is trapped beside the body, your body temperature will be maintained. Dress in layers that you can remove as soon as you start to sweat and then put back on as needed as the sweat dries and you start to get chilled.</p>
<p>Keeping warm is vital &ndash; for hands, feet and especially the head, because as much as 50% of heat loss is through the head. If it&#39;s dark, wear reflective clothing. To stay steady on your feet, choose footwear with enough traction to prevent falls.</p>
