Corporate running clubs

Running clubTo really motivate your staff, you could offer running clubs from the convenience of the office. With no additional travel or hassle, staff can simply go running with other members of the club before, after, or even during, their working day. Running clubs boost staff fitness levels, health and well-being – and your business will be boosted as a result.

Corporate running clubs are ideal for all staff, regardless of fitness levels. There is group support and the clubs are run by trained professionals who establish the best running routine for the individual group. Goals are set to encourage staff and reward them with a sense of accomplishment when each goal is reached. Part of the running clubs experience is the warm up and cool down exercises. Before staff begin running, there are stretches and warm-up jogs to reduce the risk of any injuries. Staff will then run at a pace comfortable to them before enjoying some cooling-down exercises.

Regular exercise, particularly good cardio fitness such as running, leads to increased positivity and motivation, as well as reduced stress levels and tiredness. The added benefit of running clubs is the enhanced sense of staff morale and rapport. Running with team members is a supportive experience as employees encourage one another and get to know each other on a more personal level. This relationship-building time leads to improved co-operation, team spirit, and atmosphere back in the office.

Running on a regular basis will let staff run off any stress they may be feeling as well as provide an extra reason to stay with your company. The sense of wellbeing created by running clubs will in turn lead to a positive feeling towards your business. Staff will want to work for you – which will improve productivity and give you an edge over your competitors, as well as reducing turnover and absenteeism along with the associated costs.
