The Midnight Walk 2009 will be held on Saturday, 5 September, in aid of Princess Alice Hospital, aimed at raising vital funds for end of life care services in Surrey, south west London and Middlesex.

After the success of its inaugural event, we would like to encourage everyone to sign up for a fun evening where they’ll tackle the challenge of walking a half marathon course – that’s 13.1 miles – through the neighbourhoods of Richmond, Teddington and Hampton.

Daley Thompson, double Olympic champion, and Kate Staples, ‘Gladiator’ legend and Commonwealth champion, are inviting everyone to get together with some of their family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues or mates from their sports club or activity group, and sign up for a night out with a difference!

The event starts at Pools on the Park, Richmond, with an energising warm-up routine to get everyone in the mood and to help them get to know their fellow walkers.

There will be plenty of refreshments to keep walkers going in those early hours – plus plenty of toilets!
To celebrate their sense of achievement, there will even be bacon baps and a hot drink to welcome everyone back at the finish.

The entry fee is only £15, which will pay for their very own Midnight Walk t-shirt, which they can wear during training in the build up to the event and for them to put on for the big night itself.

Please visit www.pah-midnightwalk.com where walkers can register online or download a registration form.
The website will provide everyone with even more reasons to join in on the night and make them that extra bit eager to get involved.
