Having a personal trainer was very convenient and flexible around times and days.  By training at home I could focus my time and energy on my goals with no travelling to or from the gym (at the mercy of public transport) with a heavy bag and the issue of when and where to shower.

The added benefit of having ongoing nutrition consultation meant that I could make workable long-term changes to my diet.  I hadn’t appreciated how much a role diet, frequency of eating and portion size can play in maintaining energy levels throughout the day.

I tried lots of different types of exercises that I wouldn’t have thought I could do before and surprised myself at how much I enjoyed them.  Having a trainer meant that exercises could be modified immediately and I could be pushed when I reached a plateau.  All of these meant I could see quick results.

After 6 months, I had tangible benefits; I lost kilos and inches and dropped at least a dress size. After being diagnosed with asthma as a child I also found that I could retrain myself to break out of my appalling breathing patterns.  My improved overall energy levels meant I was motivated in my everyday life and I had refreshing sleep as a result of being physically tired.
