Sports Therapy

Sports therapy specifically focuses on rehabilitation and restoring normal or optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness and also the prevention of future injury. Our detailed assessments also highlight poor posture and common postural abnormalities which if corrected can prevent future injury, musculature imbalance, pain and slow down many age-related complications.

All our sports therapists are affiliated members of the Society of Sports Therapists.

Sports Massage

Sports massage has many potential benefits and is an important component of sports therapy and rehabilitation process. Its primary aim is to restore full functionality to muscles and other soft tissues. This can be anything from easing the tension that has built up in your shoulders over long hours in the office to restoring maximum performance to the over-trained muscle group of an athlete. Sports massage can be used as an effective part of a warm-up or cool-down routine, improve flexibility, help maintain a healthy body, prevent injury, improve circulation and lymphatic flow, reduce scar tissue, reduce pain, relieve stress and tension and helps promote relaxation.

All our sports massage therapists are affiliated members of the Sports Massage Association (SMA).

Thai Yoga Massage

Thai yoga massage is an ancient healing therapy that works on the physical, emotional and spiritual balance of the body, increasing vitality, relaxation and well-being.

It is a deep, full-body treatment combining acupressure, gentle stretching and applied Hatha yoga. This treatment is applied with hands, feet, arms, elbow and knees.

Thai yoga massage is very beneficial for treating aches and pains, frozen shoulder, stress, headaches, asthma, back pain and paralysis after a stroke.

It improves flexibility and posture, results in better alignment of the body, enhances the circulation of the blood and promotes lymphatic drainage, leaving the body revitalised, calm and full of energy.
